About me

I am a new illustrator who has only been studying art for 3 years. I previously studied hospitality and patisserie and discovered my love for art. I used to love drawing when I was a kid but never took it on. Once I started studying art I have progressed hugely. I used to be shy and not confident with my work but now I have gained more confidence within myself and my work. One thing I have learnt is that no one’s perfect and art doesn’t have to be perfect. I am still finding my feet with my style but I am slowly finding it. I have learnt that I love using water colour, using digital media to help me produce work and line drawings. I do like doing line drawings as it makes your mind think to as what colours it could be and by showing the structure of the illustration with just line.

Growing up in the countryside has always inspired me when drawing. An illustrator who has also inspired me is Tom Hovey who does the illustrations for the Great British Bake Off. His work is so detailed and colourful I want to be able to bring that to my own work.

Though my work hasn’t got a unique style I love how diverse my skills are within art. I am adapting to briefs and adapting to the changing times. Once I find my comfortable point I will explore more into it.

I have done client work already, designing menus and doing a logo for a business. By getting my name out there I will hope to develop my skills to help create illustrations or logos for businesses.
